Community Affairs: Matt Thomas reported on the trash cans/benches/bike racks/planters --

All assets from Juniper to A street (trash containers, benches, flower pots, bike racks) will be turned over to the SPBG. All fees have been waived, our insurance covers liability. We need to decide which items we want to keep and maintain - can choose to have items removed, and if we fail to maintain them, City may remove them. Trash Cans: we might have a few cans on the outer edges taken away.
Graffiti - we are looking into getting the leftover paint (matched colors) from the City to continue painting over graffiti on electrical boxes (Samantha Keenan has paint color information). Planters: North Park Nursery by Mooch may volunteer to upkeep planters, however he did not realize how many there are, so we will likely need a new solution/or partial. Like trash cans, we are investigating "adoption" by nearby businesses. Suggest we develop a "template" of planting instructions, with watering and maintenance instructions.
Possible future fund-raising event or campaign to help pay for plants and supplies.

Graffiti -- SD Police Dept. Graffiti Unit: Send photos directly to Sergio Zamora - (619-531-2847) at email: szamora@pd.sandiego.gov along with the exact location, before cleaning.
