Minutes submitted by Erin Cassidy of North Park News:

1) Introductions
2) Police and Safety- Captain’s meeting on May 24 at 5:30pm. Business Group Comments: Thomas Bike Shop employee was victim of hit and run by motorcycle driver, speeding problem on Juniper St. and Felton, drive by shooting in Golden Hill on B St. Officer will look further into these incidents.
3) South Park Community Group- City Planner and Advisory Committee meeting with Todd Gloria and Bill Anderson (Director of City Planning) who will address questions they have received from the community. April 6, location T.B.D. Matt Thomas is also looking into the signage code to see if there is work to be done to benefit South Park businesses. Contact him at Matt@alchemysandiego.com

4) Walkabout Review
a. Walkabout was a great success, all of the areas seeing increased turnout to the event and good business from it. Australian theme worked O.K. but the best part about it was the advertising (especially the KPBS radio ads). Response from the public asking about having police there to regulate traffic and the need for additional parking because it was so crowded. Additional options discussed were having the trolley pick up people from the golf course or the dog park, or utilizing the pedicabs or a bus system.

b. Postcard Theme for Summer Walkabout: "Sizzlin’ in South Park." More postcards will be printed so businesses don’t run out as quickly.

5) South Park Map/Guide was distributed. VIEW ON WEBSITE -- CLICK HERE.  Test them out and return with comments for changes for next printing. Corrections for individual businesses should be sent to Marsha at spbg@lucyslist.net

6) Old House Fair- June 18th
a. Sponsorship, exhibit space, and advertising opportunities are available for business storefront owners and home contractors. Maureen has Exhibitor Application Forms - also on the website - and Sponsorship details if you are interested. $150 for booth and program/website listings. Sponsorships $500-$2500. Advertising in program brochure and on Old House Fair website (year 'round) are $50-$200. Please try to sign up as early as possible. Also, Docents are needed to the house tours. For one shift you will receive training and then a free ticket to see the other homes. Contact Maureen by email studiomaureen@yahoo.com, or 619-233-6679.

b. Current sponsorship commitments are from The Station, Grant's Marketplace, Hamilton’s, South Bark, Alchemy, Whistlestop, Cairns Craft and Home Restoration & Remodeling of San Diego. Also working on a partnership with San Diego Museum of Art, doing a Stickley Exhibition this summer.

c. Bank account separation: This year the GGHCDC will not be the OHF fiscal agent, but are sponsoring the event by providing event insurance and 501c3 non-profit status. A separate bank account will be created and separate financial records.

d. Promotion- Save the Date postcard available, website is updated at theoldhousefair.com, poster and ads to start next month.

7) PR Committee
a. BID Grant for July 2011-June 2012 is due 4/22. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. This grant funds the Walkabout ads, KPBS, and other expenses.

b. Proposal to support the market and have a free booth with South Park promotional and informational materials. Would have to organize people to man the booth. This discussion is tabled for next meeting.

9) Community Reports
a. CDC- Reorganization, new board members and they are trying to find a new office and cut expenses. Mixer March 30th at Junc 5:30-7:30.
