- Police and Safety - Corner of A St. and Fern St. was brought up to see if traffic can be slowed down for children crossing to get to Albert Einstein Academies.

a. CDC - moving offices to the old pharmacy across the street from Alchemy. Sam Keenan said there is some space for subleasing in the building. Business mixer at Progress 6:30 pm, April 27. All Mixers currently held on last Wed. of month (same as SPBG meetings in the AM) are free for CDC members and $10 for non-members. Potted plants seen around the neighborhood - they look good in groups of three. Ongoing planting.
b. MAD - Graffiti spotted around town. MAD takes pictures and has the resources to paint over. Police dept. needs to be notified by building owners in order to act. c. Councilman Todd Gloria - Many business owners have asked about permits for sidewalk cafés. Typically, a permit is in the area of $5000. However, since South Park is a micro-district, Anthony mentioned that owners can file collectively and submit as a group to lessen the fee individually. These plans should go through the planning committee for review in case there are any ADA and clearance issues. Street resurfacing has commenced in South Park. If you need your street resurfaced, let Todd Gloria’s office know. If there are construction issues, let Todd Gloria’s office know. Corner of Fern St. and Grape St. there is a mobile junk truck who has been setting up shop every Saturday morning. New tenant, Joe Zaituna will address. Todd Gloria’s (district 3) is in the process of being re-districted. Community input on May 2. Small Business Advisory Board is inviting people to attend. Meetings are Third Friday of even-numbered months from 8:45 am - 10:15 am at Balboa Park Club or Downtown Info. Center. a. Golden HIll Farmers Market has been getting some great reviews. As business owners, having a booth may be helpful for promotion because there is a lot of foot traffic. Some neighborhood complaints but that is typical. If you have any issues, contact Brian Beevers.
b. Urban Gourmet Foods and Market - Joe Zaituna. Offering healthy foods, vitamins, smoothies and European imports. July 1 target for grand opening. Occupying the old Video Rush location at 1947 Fern St. Will have a booth at Old House Fair.

b. Rider from Team Thomas will be representing South Park at a riding event in San Francisco. Currently staying with Jinna.

d. Diedra from Plum Pottery has gathered a South Park donation basket for the Walk of Hope.
e. Absolute Skin has spray tanners, healers, Raiki and cosmetology doctors available at the salon now.
f. Albert Einstein Academies is hosting their annual Gala Auction Fundraising Event on June 3 at Hall of Champions at Balboa Park at 6:30 pm. Food by Alchemy, wine from Grant’s and beer from Stone Brewery. $45/ticket by 4/30 and $50 after 4/30. Many local businesses have donated items. Thank you for supporting the school!
